GUWAHATI: An online Sepak Takraw Coaching Workshop, organized by Sports Authority of India and Sepak Takraw Federation of India, in collaboration with Asian Sepak Takraw Federation, concluded today. The workshop was kicked off on April 25.

The workshop, initiated by Sports Authority of India and Ministry of Youth affairs, Sports during the lockdown which was imposed to combat COVID-19, was aimed to highlight online coaching and a few other areas. Around 700 players and coaches from 28 states took part in this 10-day workshop. Among the key officials attended the workshop were President of International Sepak Takraw Federation Dato Abdul Halim Bin Kader, Secretary General of Asian Sepak Takraw Federation Boonchai Lorhpitat, S R Premraj, President of Sepak Takraw Federation of India, its General Secretary Y S Dahiya and joint secretary Bishnu Ram Nunisa.

Talking to The Sentinel Nunisa today said: "It was an extraordinary online workshop. Players and the coaches have learnt several new things. Those lessons would help them when they would return into the court after the lockdown is over and situation becomes normal."
