Lockdown: Daily labourers in Meghalaya in a fix

SHILLONG: Many daily labourers residing in Shillong are flummoxed on how to resume work again. The curfew has been lifted and the lockdown has been eased but where will they find employment is the buzz word echoing in the circle of these labourers who are now looking for work to sustain their living.

"Everything seems to have opened up slowly but the scope of getting hired as labourers is still bleak", stated a labourer in Polo

Another daily labourer said that his ignorance added more to the complexity of what is opening and closing.
