Storyweavers, a Guwahati-based creative agency, recently organized, ‘Art after Dark’, an evening of poetry, storytelling, music, and monologue at ‘The Space’, Rajgarh, on August 31 last. The event was organized in the city in association with Irshaad and Eastern Beats Music Society.

The event saw active participation by the city’s professional and aspiring artists, along with people who have a passion for art and culture, but somewhere lacked a platform to express themselves.

Rishi Paullah, co-founder of Storyweavers said, “We came up with 'Art after Dark' to provide a platform for artists of varied experiences and fields, to have an organic interaction in this virtual world, to express one's heart out without the fear of being judges or, to help art for art's sake, so as to #WeaveStoriesAcrossMediums. Over the last few months, we've been rigorously planning over a way to communicate with artists and to build a platform, and this is how we decided to babystep into the execution. We're overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and the positive responses that have been constantly pouring in; encouraging us to keep going on further into the journey, a journey where likeminded people come together to bear the torch of art, freedom and aesthetics."

Storyweavers plans to continue Art after Dark and also has several other creatively stimulating events and content generation lined up.

"Rishi and I came up with Storyweavers to curate quality content. By organising such events, we are not only giving a platform to express oneself but also helping build a positive and productive culture. While we are already managing few bands and independent artists from the region in terms of branding, social presence and strategic planning, we plan to get more artists on board to provide them with the exposure they deserve," added Pritisha Borthakur, co-founder of Storyweavers.
