The Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is on an investment spree in Ayodhya and has acquired his fourth property. According to a report, Big B has recently bought a 25,000 square feet plot for a whopping Rs 40 crore.
The plot is said to be located near the upscale ‘Sarayu’ real estate project, where the actor had previously invested Rs 14.5 crore. His latest purchase follows his recent investment of Rs 20 crore in a real estate firm owned by Bollywood producer Anand Pandit. The actor appears to have diversified his real estate holdings, particularly in Ayodhya, following the Ram Temple development. Last year, he had bought a 5,372 square feet plot for Rs 4.54 crore just before the Ram Temple inauguration. Amitabh Bachchan has registered 54,000 square feet of land under his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s trust. According to reports, the actor wants to pay tribute to his father on the land by expanding his real estate investments.
According to a close source, Amitabh said, This is the start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly coexist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital.
Beyond Ayodhya, Big B’s real estate investments have moved to the city. Recently, the actor made headlines for selling a duplex apartment in Andheri for Rs 83 crore, which he purchased in 2021 for Rs 31 crore. Big B and his son purchased 10 apartments in 2023, which are worth a staggering Rs 25 crore in total. This showcases their investment strategy beyond their entertainment career. On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was seen in Vettaiyan alongside Rajinikanth. The film was directed by T. J. Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions. (Agencies)
