Salaga Movie Review: Story of Notorious Criminal with Director and Actor Duniya Vijay

Salaga is a Kannada film directed by Duniya Vijay and this movie is Vijay's directorial debut where he added himself as actor Vijaya Kumar. The movie features other actors like Dhananjaya, Sanjana Anand and Achyut Kumar. In the movie, Duniya Vijay made his efforts in narrating a tale relating to one of the unknown sides of Bengaluru. He was much successful in portraying his story through this movie.

The initial part of the movie starts from a scene in Mangaluru ports which shows smuggling illegal arms into Bangaluru. Thereafter starts the story of the merciless and unstoppable criminal known as Salaga. Salaga goes on to kill numerous people related to crime from various groups with different identities and unknown backgrounds. He is unable to stop until and unless the entry of ACP Samrat who brought an interruption into his killings of criminals.

It is a two hour dedicated movie with scenes that seem moving faster with loudness as much required. The dialogues in the movie mostly by Maasthi are justified and are successful in attracting the attention of the viewers. The background score in the film is softened but most of the scenes filled with actions are horrifying to watch. Cinematograph along with its editing in the film is very smooth and remarkably done by Cinematographer Shiva Sena. Sanjana Anand was good in her character in which she is shown as a lover of the heartless criminal. The role of Cockroach Sudhi is very surprising and full of entertainment and laughter. Duniya Vijay in his new form proved to be a good match with actor Dhananjaya. The message at the end of the movie by Vijay makes it more lovable. Suri Anna, Maleya Maleya, I love you Sanjana, Salaga theme songs are some of the popular songs in the movie.
