In a dramatic escalation, Kapil Sharma’s café in Canada has once again come under fire, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang now claiming responsibility for the attack through a Facebook post.
Authorities have confirmed the second shooting outside Kap’s Café, located in Surrey, British Columbia, took place in the early hours of Thursday, 7 August 2025. While no one was injured, multiple gunshots were fired, damaging the windows and structure of the building. Bullet holes and shattered glass were seen at the scene.
The latest incident comes less than a month after a similar shooting on 10 July, in which nine rounds were fired at the same café. In that case, Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi had allegedly claimed responsibility.
This time, however, the Bishnoi gang’s Facebook post appears to take credit. Investigators are now working to verify the authenticity of the online claim. “We are looking into whether this post came from an official source connected to the gang or a copycat,” said police officials.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS), along with Delta Police Department, has ramped up its probe into the back-to-back attacks. Authorities are also considering beefed-up security for Kapil Sharma and his properties both in Canada and India.
As one of India’s most well-known entertainers, the targeted attacks on Kapil Sharma have sent shockwaves through his fans and sparked serious concerns over gang-related extortion threats abroad.
