US Landlord Finds 19 Tarantulas, Python Left By Tenant In Apartment

AUBURN: In what may be described as a "shocking" incident, a landlord found some creatures which were left by his tenant on the property. The creatures were 19 tarantulas and one Python snake. The incident has taken place in Auburn in Maine in the United States (US).

The landlord, who would surely have the heart in his mouth after he found the creatures, called an animal rescuer Drew Desjardins at the property after which the spiders and the serpent was taken out. The animal rescuer found that four of the 19 tarantulas were no more and the ball Python snake did not have water.

The animal rescuer, after rescuing the tarantulas and the snake, took them to his house. They were in good condition, as per latest media reports. Tarantulas and ball Pythons are illegal in Maine and as such they will be relocated. The animal rescuer Desjardins narrated about the incident on social media. He said he had received a phone call from a landlord, who seemed very nervous, and he told about some abandoned animals in an apartment in Auburn. The apartment had 19 tarantulas out of which four were dead and one ball Python which had no water. They were doing fine, the animal rescuer wrote on social media.

The post, after it was shared on social media by Desjardins, received attention from a huge number of people. A lot of users expressed their thankfulness to Desjardins for rescuing the animals.

Tarantulas are a group of large and hairy spiders belonging to the family Theraphosidae. Ball Python, also known as Royal Python, is a Python species native to West and Central Africa.
