91.10 Pass Percentage Recorded in Class X CBSE Board Exams

Guwahati: A total of 91.10% of students have passed the Class X Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exam, the results of which have been declared today.

A total of 17,61,078 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 16,04,428 students successfully passed the examination. Thirteen students have bagged AIR-1 by scoring 499 out of 500. The candidates who topped the list of Class X CBSE examination are Siddhant Pengoriya, Divyansh Wadhwa, Ankur Mishra, Vatsal Varshney, Isha Madan, Apoorva Jain, Shivano Lath from Dehradun, Yogesh Kumar Gupta from Prayagraj, Manya and Divjot Kaur Jaggi from Panchkula, Aryan Jha and Taru Jain from Ajmer, Bhavana N Sivadas from Thiruvananthapuram and each of them scored 499 out of 500.

According to an official press release, a total of 40,296 candidates appeared from 98 examination centers in outside India out of which 20,077 were male candidates while that of the number of female candidates were 20,219 and 197 candidates with special needs.

This year also girls have outscored boys in the Class X examination with a margin of 2.31%. The pass percentage of girls is 92.45% while that of boys is 90.14%. The number of percentage of transgender candidate is 94.74%.

It has been reported that Trivandrum has the highest pass percentage with 99.85 followed by Chennai 99%, Delhi 80.97%. The other regions with high pass percentage are Ajmer 95.89%, Panchkula 93.72%, Pragyaraj 92.55%, Bhubaneshwar 92.32%, Patna 91.86%, Dehradun 89.04% and Guwahati recorded with 74.49%.

Unlike the other years, this year also, Kendriya Vidyalaya comes out with excellent pass percentage of 99.47%.

Moreover, Union Minister Smriti Irani's daughter has also passed the Class X CBSE examination with 82%. Last week, Irani's son has passed the Class XII examination with 91%.

In a tweet, Irani said, "Class 10th board results out. Daughter scored 82%. Proud that in spite of challenges she has done well. Way to go Zoe."
