HYDERABAD: Actor Allu Arjun and the production team behind the blockbuster film Pushpa 2 have announced ₹2 crore in financial assistance for the family of a woman who tragically died in a stampede during a film screening on December 4.

Veteran producer and Allu Arjun’s father Allu Aravind, along with producer Dil Raju, visited a private hospital where an injured boy from the incident is currently receiving treatment.

Medical staff confirmed that the boy is recovering and can now breathe independently, with doctors optimistic about his full recovery.

The financial aid includes ₹1 crore from Allu Arjun, ₹50 lakh from the production house Mythri Movie Makers, and ₹50 lakh from the film's director, Sukumar.

The contributions were handed over to Dil Raju by Allu Aravind, who will deliver the funds to the victim’s family, citing legal constraints that prevented direct interaction without prior approval.

Dil Raju, also the chairman of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC), announced plans for industry representatives to meet with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to strengthen ties between the film sector and the government.

The tragic stampede occurred at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre, claiming the life of a 35-year-old woman and leaving her son hospitalized.

Following the incident, a case was registered against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station, based on a complaint from the deceased woman’s family.
