CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams will commence on February 15, 2025. The Class 10 exams will conclude on March 18, while the Class 12 exams will end on April 4. All exams will be conducted in a single shift, starting at 10:30 AM. This year, approximately 44 lakh students from 8,000 schools across India and abroad are set to appear for the board exams.
CBSE has issued a notification outlining exam ethics, including the dress code, permitted and prohibited items inside the exam hall, and penalties for unfair means practices (UFMs). Regular students are allowed to carry their admit card and school identity card, while private candidates must bring their admit card along with any government-issued photo ID.
Permitted stationery items include a transparent pouch, geometry/pencil box, blue/royal blue ink/ballpoint/gel pen, scale, writing pad, and eraser. Other allowed items include an analogue watch, a transparent water bottle, a metrocard, a bus pass, and money.
Prohibited items in the exam hall include textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, calculator, pen drive, log table (which will be provided by exam centres), electronic pen, and scanner. Communication devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, smartwatch, and camera are also not allowed. Additionally, wallets, goggles, handbags, pouches, and eatables (except for diabetic students) are prohibited, along with any items that could aid unfair practices.
Regular students must wear their school uniform, while private candidates should opt for light-colored clothes. Students are advised to follow these guidelines strictly to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.
