AIZAWL: A 26-year-old woman, identified as Sarah Malsawmzuali, daughter of Johnny Zoliansanga and a resident of Dawrpui Veng, Aizawl, was found dead in a hotel room at Hotel Ahimsa, Zarkawt, Aizawl, on Sunday evening around 6 PM.

According to sources, Malsawmzuali had locked herself inside her hotel room. When hotel staff and others tried to contact her by knocking on the door, there was no response. After repeated attempts, they managed to enter the room through the ventilation system, only to discover her lifeless body.

Malsawmzuali's body was taken by Dawrpui YMA, and her funeral will be held on Monday at noon at Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall. The police are investigating the cause of her death, and further details are awaited.

Meanwhile, a viral video showing a group of youths allegedly storming a hospital ward to seek revenge for their brother has raised serious concerns about hospital security in Mizoram. The footage, widely circulated on social media, showed chaos unfolding while the alleged perpetrator lay on a hospital bed at the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital located at Aizawl’s Seventh Day Tlang locality.

Four individuals allegedly involved in the incident—Roderick Thangdingliana Renthlei (32), Lalduhawma Khawlhring (38), Lalsangzuala Ralte (33), and Abenego Lalrinawma (31))—were taken to Vaivakawn Police Station for interrogation and will be produced in court on Monday.
