MOHALI: A horrific incident in the Mattaur village of Mohali has outraged the public after the head of a severed dog was found in a fridge inside a momo factory. The factory, which specializes in making momos and spring rolls, used to supply its products to many fast food chains across Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali.
Local residents, driven by suspicion about the operations of the factory, carried out a raid that resulted in the horrific discovery. The news quickly spread on social media, raising widespread alarm. Most disturbingly, the remainder of the body of the dog was nowhere to be found, with fears raised that its meat might have been incorporated into the food products or eaten by factory workers.
Following the discovery, authorities confiscated the severed head and some meat found in cooking utensils and took them for veterinary analysis to ascertain their origin. It is reported that the factory workers ran away from the scene before the police arrived.
Additionally, local authorities and food safety regulators have started a crackdown on unhygienic food processing plants in the area. The gruesome nature of the discovery sent shockwaves across the community, with citizens demanding stringent action against the individuals involved in the alleged offenses.
As investigations are ongoing, more details are likely to emerge as forensic analysis and police questioning proceed, seeking to maintain food safety and accountability in the region.
