Everything in the Manifesto is Truthful: Rahul Gandhi

Guwahati: Congress President Rahul Gandhi today released the election manifesto and said that it is a massive step for the Congress Party. Addressing the media, Gandhi said that jobs, farm distress and a stagnant economy is what they are stuck in.

Gandhi said that their main focus will be to work on the issues first and get the economic engines started. He said, "We will aid better spending by giving money directly into the people's account and it will give impetus to the Indian economy and will see the good old growth rates that have been seen under the UPA-2 government."

He further stated that if Modi can give 30,000 crores to industrialists and people like Anil Ambani, then the Congress can definitely ensure that they can and will put the money under the NYAY scheme which will go directly into the accounts of the poor. Criticizing the BJP government, Gandhi said that the poor and farmers are in utter distress and the present government is least bothered about it.

Further, hitting the BJP government, the Congress President said that he is agreed that NYAY is not doable but by the BJP and it is possible for the Congress and they will show it how they will implement the scheme. "We have shown how the farm loan waivers could be done by doing so in some states which the BJP said it couldn't be done. Like we have done the farm loan waivers, we will also implement the NYAY scheme. I do not lie like the BJP and the Prime Minister," Gandhi said.

Further, pointing to the media, Gandhi said, "I challenge the Prime Minister to come and participate in a public debate on all these issues like corruption and national security" saying that why don't the media ask questions to the PM. "Why don't you ask him why he is afraid of holding a press conference where he could be asked any questions by anybody," Gandhi asked to the media personnels'.
