ROHTAK: The Haryana Police have apprehended a suspect linked to the murder of Himani Narwal, a 23-year-old Congress worker whose body was discovered in a suitcase near the Sampla bus stand along the Rohtak-Delhi highway on March 1. The accused, hailing from a village in Jhajjar district, was reportedly acquainted with Narwal. Authorities plan to present him before a court to request remand for further investigation into the motive behind the crime, which appears to stem from a personal grudge.

In response to the shocking incident, the Haryana Police has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to expedite the inquiry. Four teams from the Rohtak Police are actively pursuing leads to identify any additional suspects involved.

The family members of Narwal have expressed their grief and indignation, vowing not to proceed with cremating her until justice is served. Her mother, Savita, stated that jealousy from political coworkers might have killed her, as she spoke about Narwal's rapid progress within the party. Narwal stood out for her commitment, as she took part in important activities like the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra and was studying for a law degree while working with the Congress for almost a decade.

Savita recalled her last conversation with Narwal on February 27, when her daughter mentioned a busy schedule with party activities. The family was informed of her murder on Saturday afternoon, and they continue to seek answers and accountability for this tragic loss.
