India will not bow down to Terror: PM Modi

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addresses a rally at Kanyakumari and said that India has been facing terror attacks for a long time but there is a difference now and that India will not bow down to terror.

Addressing the rally at Kanyakumari, Modi said that corruption is a way of life for some people but he wouldn't allow that. "Our government has taken a firm stand against corruption. While we have come down heavily on corruption we are rewarding honest tax payers," said Modi.

Modi while recalling the inaction after 26/11 attacks said that their government believes in action. Talking about the action India had taken he said, "Uri happened, you saw what our brave soldiers did. Pulwama happened and you all witnessed what our air force did."

Slamming the opposition, Modi said that a few political parties have transferred their Modi hatred into suspicion. He said that when the entire nation supports armed forces, a few parties suspect the fight against terror and said that the armed forces are extraordinary.

Modi also talks about the One Rank One Pension scheme saying that it was a historic decision taken by the Government of India.

Later on the rally, PM Modi says that agricultural loans have been extended to fishing communities and the Centre has allotted Rs. 300crore for deep sea fishing. Navigational aids developed by ISRO has been provided to the fisherman which provide information in local languages too. He said that the Central Government is sensitive to the safety of fisherman.

Modi related loan waivers from Congress to Leap years and football world cups which occurs in four years saying that it is announced just before elections that too only once in 10 years and in reality, Congress loan waivers benefit only a few farmers.

Meanwhile, Modi also praised the first woman defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman and brave pilot of Indian Air Force Abhinandan Varthaman on his courageous step that he had taken.

Modi also inaugurated highway and development projects and flagged off the high-speed Tejas train from Madurai to Chennai during his visit to Kanyakumari.
