Mary Kom shows off the first tattoo of her life, the Olympic rings!

Guwahati: Indian boxing champion with pride of bagging several world titles, MC Mary Kom seems all set and excited for her participation in the forthcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The boxing sensation from north-East India has got the first tattoo of her life and amazingly, she has drawn the five rings, the symbolic logo of Olympics on her arm. The ever sporty, smiling-faced Mary Kom seems every ready for the Olympics event.

Amid her ceaseless training for the forthcoming competition where she will encounter world-class boxers from all over the world, Mary Kom made sure that she gets to focus more on her goal. With the Olympics ruling her mind and soul these days, she has done the right thing to make it to the sole goal of the moment.

Getting the first tattoo of her life, Mary Kom’s picture with her new tattoo is shared by tattoo artiste Mo Naga. Naga said, “Five years ago, Mary had expressed her desire to get tattooed to me. It came true yesterday. Sometimes the tattoo decides for us and this was one such experience.”

The Olympic ring, being the symbols of the activity of the Olympic movement and representing the union of the five continents and the meeting of athletes from throughout the world is perhaps the best tattoo that Mary could think of getting at this point of time.

Mary Kom, being the World Amateur Boxing champion for a record six times, happens to be the only woman boxer who has won a medal in each one of the seven world championships. She certainly is a lady of great achievements, the records of whom would be tough for her successors to break.

Speaking about her tattoo experience, Mo Naga says “Traditionally, tattoos are done for protection and strength. It not only marks one’s identity but also symbolises transformation. May her tattoos inspire her and bring a greater determinations & transformations!”

Mo Naga runs Headhunters’ Inc in New Delhi who adds that he is honoured to ink the world champion.
