Sonam Raghuvanshi, who killed her husband Raja Raghuvanshi when they were on their honeymoon in Meghalaya, has been imprisoned in Shillong for precisely one month. However, according to insiders, she has not expressed contrition for her conduct to date, nor have any of her family members paid her a visit.
Sonam has reportedly adjusted to the jail surroundings and gotten along well with other female inmates. They stated she follows the jail instructions and gets up at the same time every morning.

According to insiders, the murder suspect never discusses her crime or private life with other inmates or the jail staff. She shares a room with two female inmates awaiting trial and is staying close to the jail warden's office

Sonam has not yet been given any special tasks within the prison, but according to sources, she will learn how to sew and perform other skill-building activities. She is also able to watch television every day.
Sonam is permitted to see and speak with her family members in accordance with jail regulations, but nobody has paid her a visit or given her a call.

There are a total of 496 prisoners lodged in the Shillong jail - out of which 20 are women. Sonam is the second woman prisoner in the jail, accused of murder. She is being monitored through CCTV cameras.
