Pakistan Refuses to Acknowledge the Damage Caused by IAF: BS Dhanoa

Guwahati: Indian Air Force Chief BS Dhanoa on Friday said that Pakistan refuses to acknowledge the damage caused by the Indian Air Force's air-strike carried out on February 26 in the terror camp at Balakot although there are proofs in front of its eyes in the form of the bombed-out structures.

Dhanoa also asserted that the Indian fighter planes had struck their intended targets with precision.

Dhanoa further said, "Pakistan doesn't want to see although it is there in front of them and I can only recall Bob Dylan. How many times a man can pretend that he doesn't see it and turn his head and that my answer is blowing in the wind." He referred to a song of Bob Dylan from his album 'The Freewheeling Bob Dylan' of 1963.

The air strike by the IAF against the Jaish-e-Mohammad terror base were the response of India over the suicide bomb attack at Pulwama which left more than 40 CRPF jawans killed on February 14.

The Indian Air Force Mirage-2000 jets with 1000 kg laser-guided bombs caused an estimated casualty of 200-300 and the laser-guided bombs are built with Israeli technology and were first used in Kargil War.

According to sources, the Balakote camp is spread around 6 to 7 acres which is the biggest Jaish-e-Mohammad camp in Pakistan.

The air strike of February 26 is the first time after the 1971 war that the Indian fighter aircraft have violated the Pakistani airspace and Indian Aircraft did not cross the LoC even during the 1999 Kargil War.

Dhanoa also stated that the bombs hit their targets in a vertical attack angle leaving holes measuring 80-90 cm in diameter on the rooftops of the structures. He also said that people who knows where to look can see the points of impact which were visible.
