

Guwahati: Congress President Rahul Gandhi today said that he will stand by his Chowkidar Chor Hai jibe as it is a reality and that he will continue using the slogan against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Rahul Gandhi said that he had apologized to the Supreme Court as he felt that he had made a mistake. He further said that there is a process which is going on in the top court and that he had made a comment attributed to the court and therefore he apologized. I didn't apologize to the BJP or Modi ji adding that Chowkidar Chor Hai will remain their slogan.
Gandhi further attacked Prime Minister Modi and took on the issues of unemployment and agrarian crises and also criticized Modi for insulting India's armed forces.
He further claimed that it is clear that the BJP is losing in the Lok Sabha election 2019 and is conducting a panicky campaign. He also said that half of the elections are over and there is a clear cut feeling that Modi ji is losing in the elections adding that their general assessment is clearly saying that BJP is losing the elections.
He also stated that the reality is that losing in the election is clearly visible in the face of Modiji. Gandhi also raised the burning issues that has been faced by the people and the problem of unemployment and the crises facing the farmers of the country are the main issues but the Prime Minister said that nothing about the concerns of the common people.
Rahul Gandhi also reiterated that the biggest issue right now is unemployment and the way Modiji has destroyed the economy. The country is asking Modiji about the two crore jobs which he promised to the people but Modiji doesn't speak a word on jobs or farmers as he has nothing to say.
While hitting out at the Prime Minister, Gandhi said that Modiji's entire strategy is to distract saying that they have fought four to five elections with Modi in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
He also said that the Congress does not politicize the army and that it is not anyone's property as PM Modi questioned the Congress' claims that the UPA government had carried out six surgical strikes during its tenure.
