The entire heist, captured on CCTV, lasted just six minutes and resulted in the theft of gold, silver, and cash worth approximately ₹30 lakh.

According to police reports, the robbers arrived at the store around 3:30 pm on a motorcycle, wearing uniforms resembling those of Swiggy and Blinkit, complete with delivery helmets to conceal their identities. At the time, the shop owner, Krishna Kumar Verma, was away for lunch, leaving only one employee, Shubham, inside.

CCTV footage shows the masked men entering the store with pistols, threatening and assaulting Shubham before forcing him to unlock storage cabinets. Within minutes, they made off with 125 grams of gold jewellery, 20 kilograms of silver, and ₹30,000 in cash. They reportedly fled toward Delhi.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sahibabad, Shweta Yadav, confirmed the robbery occurred between 3:30 and 3:36 pm. “Five police teams have been formed to investigate. We are analysing CCTV footage from the shop and nearby areas. The role of the employee present is also under examination,” she added.

Shubham alerted Verma immediately after the incident, who then contacted the police. Senior officers, including Additional CP Alok Priyadarshi, DCP (Trans-Hindon) Nimish Patil, and ACP Yadav, promptly arrived at the scene.

DCP Nimish Patil stated, “Two armed suspects entered the shop on a motorcycle, looted silver and gold, and fled. A case is being registered based on the complaint, and further legal proceedings are underway.”

Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage and working to identify the culprits.
