Stop Supporting Terror Groups Or Else India Will Stop Sharing Water Flow: Nitin Gadkari To Pakistan

Guwahati: Union Minister and Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari said on Wednesday that the government will stop India's share of water flowing into Pakistan if the neighbouring country does not stop supporting terror groups.

Addressing a press conference at Amritsar on Wednesday, Gadkari said that they have already started a study into the matter. "The water that will be stopped flowing into Pakistan will be given to Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan," said Gadkari.

Nitin Gadkari said that the basis of the water treaty between the two Asian neighbours was peaceful relations and friendship that had completely vanished and therefore they are not bound to follow this treaty.

The union minister also took potshots at the Nehru-Gandhi clan saying that they had been making tall promises on the eradication of poverty but never delivered while he went for a campaign tour in Punjab which will vote on the last phase of polls on May 19.

Gadkari was campaigning for Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate from Fatehgarh Sahib, Darbara Singh Guru. Campaigning for Darbara Singh Guru, Gadkari said, "For 72 years since the country attained Independence, Congress leaders have been making such promises but they all failed to deliver."

Nitin Gadkari further stated that when Jawaharlal Nehru became the first prime minister, he promised to eradicate poverty adding that the same promise was made by his daughter Indira Gandhi, the grandmother of the Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Gadkari also stated that the legacy followed and Indira Gandhi's son, Rajiv Gandhi also promised to eradicate poverty and the trend followed as ex-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who was made the PM by UPA Chairperson and Rajiv Gandhi's wife Sonia Gandhi also promised similar promise but failed to maintain.

Gadkari further reiterated that now Rahul Gandhi is also following their family's rule by promising that he will free the people of the country from poverty and promised to do what his ancestors could not which means that nothing was done by all of them in the last 55 years of the Congress rule alleging that the wrong policies of the previous Congress governments were responsible for corruption.

He also assured that if the BJP is voted to power again then the long-pending demand of an elevated road in Khanna will be met and the Khanna-Samrala road will be repaired adding that the entire nation is now well-connected through a network of highways.
