14-Year-Old Girl Gang-Raped In Uttar Pradesh, 4 Minors Arrested

Lucknow: Police on Saturday arrested four for allegedly gang-raping a 14-year-old girl in Pahasu area of Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr.

As per reports, the accused minors are relative of the minor victim. One of the accused has been arrested for filming the act and making it viral on the internet.

The incident which came to light on Saturday took place on December 3(Tuesday).

"Case has been registered. Police arrested all four accused within two hours," said Santosh Kumar Singh, SSP, Bulandshahr,” Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) informed.

Meanwhile, the Congress party has demanded strict action against the accused in the Unnao case. The party spokesperson said that the Uttar Pradesh is becoming the rape capital of the country.

The Unnao gang-rape survivor, who was stabbed and set on fire, died after struggling for 40 hours at the Safdarjung Hospital of Delhi on Friday night. The deceased was set ablaze by five men, including her two alleged rapists on Thursday morning while she was on her way back home from Rae Bareli court to attend a court hearing of her ongoing rape case.

Amid nationwide outrage, calling the Unnao case ‘shameful’ for every Indians, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday also urged the Uttar Pradesh government to hang the culprits "to set an example" for the society.

On the other hand, Congress leader​ Rahul Gandhi on Saturday condemned the BJP-led government at the Centre for the increasing cases of women violence across the country.

Launching a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gandhi alleged, "The reason for the increasing lawlessness is the breakdown of the institutional structures. It is because the man who is running the country believes in violence and indiscriminate use of power.”
