NEW DELHI: With a total of 1,169,91 reported Dengue cases over 9 States and Union Territories, the Union Health Ministry has rushed to rescued by providing support to them in public health measures, to prevent the spreading of the infection any further. 

The decision was made after a large number of dengue cases were recorded in Haryana, Punjab, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Jammu & Kashmir. The professional team includes the National Centre for Disease Control and National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme. 

More than 1500 cases were reported this year in New Delhi, from which 1200 were recorded in October itself, making the highest count over the year. The hospitals yet again saw  high admission of patients with severe fever. In the month of October, the municipal corporation in Pune, Maharashtra, recorded 168 instances of the vector-borne illness. Though it's down from the 192 dengue cases reported in September, the decrease isn't significant.

Uttar Pradesh records a strike of 1000 cases, of which 60% alone comes from the month of October itself. 

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral illness that may be found in tropical and subtropical climates all over the world, mostly in urban and semi-urban regions. The virus that causes dengue fever is known as dengue virus (DENV). There are four DENV serotypes, which means you can get infected four times. 

The provided assistance team for the prevention of the spread of the disease, they are asked to provide updates on vector control, the availability of kits and medications, early detection, pesticide availability and usage, and the status of anti-larval and anti-adult vector control efforts, among other things.
