Gurugram serial killer admits of using drugs while raping and killing minor girls

Guwahati: Sunil Kumar, the alleged serial killer in Gurugram who is accused of raping and killing at least 15 minor girls has made shocking revelations on the killing of the victims. As admitted by the accused, he used to have drugs while raping and killing the minor girls. The police custody of the alleged serial killer is being extended by a day on Thursday.

Notably, the alleged killer, Kumar is charged on the killing of at least 15 girls in different places like Gurugram, Gwalior and Jhansi. On being arrested by police, Kumar was kept in police custody for nine days before producing in front of the court.

On being presented in front of the court, the court extended the police remand of the accused in connection with the rape and murder of a five-year-old girl. Notably, the five-year-old had gone missing on June 15, 2013 from Bristol Chowk in DLF Phase-1 and was later found dead near Sikanderpur Metro station on the same night.

Assistant commissioner of police (crime), Shamsher Singh says, “He said he hardly worked for two days in a week, enjoyed the rest of the week and drank daily. He never spent money on food and ate at community lunches. He had collected the data from Peer Baba and temples regarding the same.”

Police further add that the accused has also said that the use of drugs was introduced to him by his brother-in-law and it is he only who had forced him to shift to the city seven years ago.

ACP Singh added, “He used to buy the drugs from a chemist for Rs 80 but he is not aware of the name of the drug. He said his brother-in-law had told him to try these tablets.”

This has also been stated by the investigating officers that the accused is trying to mislead the investigators by making stories and putting blames on others. He thinks he would be able to escape maximum punishment by framing such stories. After conducting a medical check-up of the accused, the investigator also added that the accused is both mentally and physically fit and was quite aware as to what he was doing. Whatever is the story made by him, it is certain that he is a serial killer and rapist and there will be no escape from punishment for him.
