India's 1st Omicron Patient Discharged from Hospital, Shares His Experience

NEW DELHI: The first person to be rescued from Omicron was a 34-year-old Bengaluru man who filmed his recovery in a viral video.

In the video, he claims, "I got infected with covid-19 during the second wave." I tested positive for the Omicron type after receiving two doses of covid vaccination. I was more afflicted by the Delta virus than by the Omicron strain. When asked about the treatment, he said, "There is no unique therapy for the Omicron variant." Antibiotics and vitamin C tablets were given to the patients. Because I wasn't tired and the symptoms were modest, I worked from the hospital ward for a week."

According to accounts, the guy contracted Omicron after travelling from South Africa in November. He tested negative in RT-PCR testing at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL), but he began to display symptoms on the third day of his home isolation, following which he was found to be Omicron positive.

"After arriving from South Africa, he was tested negative in RT-PCR testing at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL). He had throat irritation and cough indications on the third day of his isolation, requiring a repeat RT-PCR test at a private lab, which confirmed the Covid-19 virus. After that, the sample was submitted to be sequenced for genomics, which found an Omicron variant "according to the news

He was hospitalized at the authorized hospital in accordance with official rules. He was later found to be negative in two RT-PCR testings. He was released after blood tests and an x-ray revealed that he was fine.

"When I returned from South Africa, I secluded myself from my family to prevent them from contracting the virus." People who have travelled from another country should keep their distance and observe the government's quarantine guidelines. They should not be alarmed if symptoms appear and should be evaluated right away." In the video, he says.

He is the third individual in the state to be exposed to the Omicron form. The other has yet to be released after testing positive for the new variety. Another South African national attempted to flee India by fabricating an RT-PCR report.
