Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on Friday reviewed security arrangements ahead of panchayat polls in the state. “In a meeting attended by senior civil, police, central armed forces, the Army, state and Central intelligence agencies, the Governor undertook a detailed review of security management-related issues at Raj Bhavan,” said an official statement.
“The Governor obtained the sector-wise assessments of the prevailing security situation and arising challenges. “He emphasized the crucial importance of maintaining a sustained close watch on the ground situation and appreciated the sustained real-time coordination and synergy between security forces and the civil administration”, the statement said.
The Governor stressed the need for a heightened vigil for ensuring the safety of protected persons and the security of all-important establishments and installations. (IANS)
