She was admitted to a city hospital in early January this year after she tested positive for COVID-19 and was also diagnosed with penumonia.

New Delhi: Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92 on Sunday.

She was admitted to a city hospital in early January this year after she tested positive for COVID-19 and was also diagnosed with penumonia.

Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the ICU with mild symptoms and was recovering slowly.

Recently, Mangeshkar's health worsen again and was in ICU.

After being several days in hospital she was discharged and now again her health worsened and has been put on a ventilator.

Lata Mangeshkar was one of the prominent ladies of Bollywood. She was a famous music director, an Indian playback singer and also a producer. She was regarded as a Queen of Melody and Nightingale of India.

She had sung in many languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, and many other regional languages. She was such a great personality of our time that she had been honoured with many awards such as National Film Awards, Padma Bhusan (1969), Maharashtra Bhusan (1997), Bharat Ratna (2001) and many more.

Her main Genre was Classical, Folk, Bhajans, Bengali Music, Ghazals.
