At a time when both Assam and Bihar are reeling under flood and are facing several troubles and threats to life, there are instances of birth of new lives as well. With the news about the miracle flood baby of Assam making headlines across the nation, another miracle flood baby takes birth in Bihar. A woman, in this incident, gives birth to a baby girl in the flood-hit East Champaran district of Bihar.
Sabina Khatoon was in her advanced stage of pregnancy when she suddenly developed her labour pain. But with her village being largely inundated by floodwater, her family members had no way out than to inform the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team for a help. The NDRF team made sure that the woman can give birth to her baby on one of its rescue boats while also evacuating her from the flood-hit village.
After the birth of the baby, both mother and baby were shifted to the Banjariya primary health centre (PHC), Motihari. As per the current reposts, both are safe and sound at their new shelter.
This incident of the baby girl being born in a flood-hit village and opening her eyes on a boat reminds one of the miracle baby boys who was also born on a boat in Assam. The boy, after Lord Krishna, was named Krishna by his mother.
The little baby Krishna was born to 24-year-old Rumi Pathori who right now is on top of the world after giving birth to a baby boy and too on such unusual conditions.
Reportedly, Rumi had started feeling her labour pain in the early hours of July 15 but was unable to get any help due to the flooded atmosphere around. However, after a number of attempts at calling for help, she finally gets a boat to go to the doctors. She, along with her husband Dulal Pathori started the boat travel from Aphola village in Mohoramukh area to Bokakhat in Golaghat. But before she gets to reach her destination, she happened to give birth to her baby on the boat itself.
