Hyderabad: The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (Muslim wing of the RSS) has decided to observe Ramzan all through the month for the very first time.

This is seen as an attempt to appeal to the principal minority community in Telegu states.

The MRM has planned iftars across the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the first 20 days of the month and dedicate the last 10 days to Eid Milap, by involving people of all communities.

This year's Ramzan is likely to commence on April 2 or 3 and it will depend on the sighting of the crescent.

RSS executive member and MRM patron, Dr. Indresh Kumar has asked the MRM branches in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to conduct iftars and Eid Milap functions all over the Telegu states with emphasis on Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

It is to be noted that the MRM has been holding these functions every year but it will be the first time that they will focus particularly on these events during this year's Ramzan.

Syed Fayazuddin, the national co-convener of the MRM, added that the functions will be a grand affair since the pandemic restrictions have been lifted.

A three-day international Urdu conference on Nizam and secularism was organized by the department of Urdu, University Women's college and Dr. Indresh Kumar attended this event.

While speaking at its inaugural session, Kumar frequently quoted verses from the Holy Quran, thereby striking a chord with the top brass of the Muslim community.

He also went on to describe India as the land of prophets and further added that the mausoleum of prophet Hazrat Sheesh (prophet Seth, third son of prophet Adam) is located in the holy city of Ayodhya, the birth place of Sri Rama.

Furthermore, he said that he would pay a visit to the shrine of the Judeo - Christian Islamic prophet whenever he goes to Ayodhya.
