MUMBAI: State Bank of India (SBI) has announced that it is hiring retired bank staff on contractual basis for filling up more than 1,000 posts.

Interested candidates have been requested to apply through online mode at https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers.

The minimum age of candidates has been set at 60 and the maximum age at 63 years.

Candidates’ required grade/scale at the time of retirement: Officers Scale II, III and IV of SBI/ e-ABS /other PSBs.

A two-stage selection process will be used, based on shortlisting and interview. The shortlisting parameters will be decided by a shortlisting committee constituted by SBI and thereafter, suitable number of candidates will be called for the interview process.

The interview itself will carry 100 marks. The qualifying marks in interview will be set by the bank. A merit list for final selection will be prepared, comprising of candidates who score minimum qualifying marks. In case of more than one candidate scoring common cut-off marks, such candidates will be ranked in the merit list in descending order of their age.

TA/DA will not be paid by the bank to the candidates for appearing in the Interview process. The merit list will be drawn by circle wise, category wise, and the candidates will be posted in the circle for which they apply. In the event of their selection, they will not be entitled for inter-circle transfer.

A total of 821 Channel Manager Facilitators, 172 Channel Manager Supervisors and 38 Support Officers will be hired by SBI. Preference will be given to the retired personnel having work experience in ATM operations.

The retired employee should have a Smart Mobile Phone and the skill / aptitude / quality for monitoring through PC / Mobile App / Laptop or as per requirement, SBI said.

The remuneration to be paid will range from Rs 36,000 to Rs 41,000 per month.

The Key Responsibility Area (KRA) of Channel Manager Facilitator -Anytime Channels (CMF-AC) include responsibility for maintenance of overall ambience including cleanliness of ATM/ADWM-lobbies and e-Corners and functioning of the ATMs along with ADWMs/SWAYAMs/GCC/CDKs/any other AC products.

It will be responsibility of Channel Manager Supervisor- Anytime Channels (CMS-AC) to ensure maximum availability and uptime of ATMs / ADWMs / SWAYAMs / GCC / CDKs as per Bank’s guidelines.

The Support Officer Anytime Channels (SO-AC) will include monitoring of all Anytime Channel products such as ATMs / ADWMs / SWAYAMs / CDKs / GCC etc.
