MUMBAI: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has planned to hire 40,000 people from Indian campuses, as the company stated. TCS has more than 500,000 employees and it said that it will recruit people in FY22 than it did in the past monetary year. The TCS smart hiring news is the latest of all TCS campus recruitments as it is one of the largest companies of the Tata Group. Last year too, TCS hired content editors for their platform. TCS CHRO Milind Lakkad said that last year, they hired 40,000 associates from campuses in India. This year, the number might be much more. Also, in the US, the company recruited 2,000 employees from campuses in FY21 and the number is probably going to be higher this year. He said that the story will be something very similar for Latin America too.

Lakkad further stated that for the first quarter of FY22, TCS added 20,409 associates to the company, taking the complete headcount to 509,058. He added that in the course of past five years, the company has been inclining up its local workforce in significant business sectors. In this way, instead of travel limitations during the pandemic, the company's business was not influenced.

Rajesh Gopinathan, CEO and MD of TCS, also shared that having such a particularly employee base is like going through a living test.
