UP Man Parades Daughter's Decapitated Head in Front of Horrified Onlookers

Lucknow: A village in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh woke up to a shocker to witness a man calmly walking down the street with the severed head of a girl.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Pandetara village, which is around 200 km from Lucknow, a man identified as Sarvesh Kumar served the head of his 17-year-old daughter.

Meanwhile, spotting this horrific incident, one of the onlookers raised an alarm and called up the police. Notably, two officers who came to intercept him started filming the approach on one of their phones.

In the video, he admits to beheading his daughter with a sharp tool because he was unhappy with her relationship with a man.

"I did it. There was no one else. I closed the latch and did it. The body is in the room," he is heard saying.

The police ask him to put the head down and sit by the road and once again he obliges without protest. The policemen brought Sarvesh to the police station and arrested him.

"A person named Sarvesh killed his teenaged daughter and was spotted carrying her severed head on the road. We intercepted him as soon as we received information about it and have taken him into custody. We have also taken serious note of a photo that shows a police officer carrying her head inappropriately. The cop has been suspended," Kapil Deo Singh, who is a police official posted in Hardoi.

Meanwhile, the photo was shared all over social media. One social media user wrote, "On seeing this with a boy, this man from Hardoi district cut off the head of his own daughter with an axe and then gracefully reached the police station with his severed head. UP is becoming a stronghold of crime. These pictures are intimidating, frightening."

On the other hand, in the month of February man who had decapitated his wife paraded her head, waved to stunned onlookers and sang his country's national anthem.

Rawat walked for just under a mile in Uttar Pradesh, northern India, holding his 26-year-old wife's severed head aloft before he was arrested near the Jahangirabad police station, according to national news outlet.
