'Will Hold Free Online Sessions on Cricket, Anyone Can Join': Sachin Tendulkar

NEW DELHI: Veteran Indian cricketer Sachin is all set to conduct a series of live interactive classes

According to reports, the sessions will be streamed live on Unacademy free of cost.

"We think that having him on board will also help us achieve our mission, which is to democratise knowledge and education faster," he added.

"I feel this is a great opportunity for me to be able to reach out to as many people as possible," said Sachin.

"We just spoke about a billion-plus minute every month. We want to reach out to billions of people. And the whole idea is to allow them to have this access to talk to me and for me to be able to share my experiences with them," he added.

It is to be mentioned that Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin Tendulkar, was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 20 lakhs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Player Auction. Arjun had expressed excitement after being picked by the franchise and had said that he has always been a 'die-hard' fan of Mumbai Indians.

Arjun Tendulkar drew a lot of flak on social media after it was alleged that the Mumbai all-rounder was picked by MI because he was the son of former MI skipper Sachin Tendulkar.

This IPL season witnessed Chris Morris fetching the highest ever bid of Rs.16.25 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history as Rajasthan Royals (RR) picked the South African pace bowling all-rounder after an intense bidding war with Punjab Kings at a player auction here, even as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made the other big moves.

Morris's base price was Rs.75 lakh. Yuvraj Singh held the previous all-time record with Rs.16 crore, which Delhi Daredevils paid in 2015. And the highest ever bid for a foreigner was Rs.15.5 crore, which the Kolkata Knight Riders paid to buy Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins last year.
