19-year-old Beaten to Death in Delhi

Guwahati: In a scuffle that took place centring the parking of vehicles at a market in Delhi, one, 19-year-old youth is beaten to death. The incident took place on Thursday when Varun, the victim intervened in a quarrel between his cousin and a group of other men.

The quarrel between Jatin, Varun’s cousin and a group of other men called Mannu and his friends took place over a parking issue. The incident took place in Outer Delhi's Sultanpuri area when Mannu came with his friends and parked his scooter in front of Jatin and his friend Deepankar’s vehicle. This disturbed Jatin and he asked Mannu to park his scooter somewhere else. This enraged Mannu and others and started a scuffle with Jatin and his friend.

Varun came and intervened and instead faced severe thrashes from Mannu, his brother Ravi and some other people. The mass attack on Varun wounded him heavily and he lost his sense. Although he was later admitted to the hospital due to severe wounds and internal bleeding, Varun succumbed to his injuries.
