4 injured in 2 different road mishaps in Meghalaya

Shillong, July 24: Four persons were injured in two separate cases of accidents in the last 24 hours. According to authorities, in an accident case reported from near Khliehriat Petrol Pump, a Maruti van bearing registration number ML05 Q 0246 met with an accident in the wee hours of Tuesday, when it dashed into a truck from behind.

The 108 ambulance service stationed at Khliehriat, East Jaiñtia Hills and police on reaching the scene found two persons injured while the truck fled from the scene. The injured have been identified as S Biren Singh, (50) and one lady Sona Dobri, (46), who suffered minor abrasions and internal nose bleeding.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning at around 7:43 am, a tourist car dashed into a Maruti 800 at 4th Mile, Upper Shillong, while avoiding a collision with a bike that skidded in the middle of the road.
