47 Prime Accused in Dokmoka mob-lynching Incident Presented for Court Trial in Nagaon

Guwahati: The 47 prime accused in the Dokmoka mob lynching of Abhijeet and Nilotpal are presented in front of the District and Session Judge’s court in Nagaon on Thursday. The trial for the accused arrested on a charge of mob lynching Guwahati boys Nilotpal Das and Abhijit Nath in Dokmoka, Karbi Anglong on June 8.

Both the Guwahati boys were brutally mob lynched on June 8, 2018, who were being suspected of being child lifters by the superstitious villagers of the remote village.

Senior advocate of Guwahati, Bijon Mahajan takes up the case for the families of Nil and Abhi. The case has been transferred from Diphu court to Nagaon District and Session court.

As per the latest reports, the next hearing for the trial is scheduled for December 2.
