88th session of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha concludes

MORIGAON: The 88th session of the socio-cultural organization Srimanta Sankardev Sangha concluded with naam-prasanga on Saturday at the Rasaraj Lakhsminath Bezbarua Khetra.

The fourth day kicked off with a cleanliness drive at the Samanwai Khetra. On the other hand, a religious meeting was held under the president ship of newly-elected Padadhikar Kamalakanta Gogoi. Former Chief Ministers Tarun Gogoi and Prafulla Kumar Mahanta were present in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Tarun Gogoi said that Sankardev was a successful politician. People developed economically and politically and also got proper education under his leadership in the State, he said. Prafulla Kumar Mahanta spoke about Sankardev’s drama, poems and holy books in the meeting.
