Amusement & Water Park 'Accoland' in Guwahati reopened after three months

Guwahati: Good news for the North-eastern people, as 'Accoland' an amusement and water park, which was shut down by the Kamrup (M) District Administration on July 24 last due to contaminated water, has now reopened after three months.

A magisterial level enquiry was conducted earlier against the amusement and water park, ‘Accoland’ in Guwahati, officials of Kamrup (M) administration earlier. The raid lasted for around 2 hours revealed multiple anomalies in the water amusement park.

The matter got viral after several media reports claimed that the visitors in the amusement park complained of skin allergy due to 'dirty water’ in the ‘Accoland’.

Following the raid, the Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner (DC), Virendra Mittal ordered Accoland authority to keep the amusement and water park closed until they can make the park fit for use by visitors with all proper facilities.

It may be mentioned that 'Accoland' is located along Rani Road, near BSF Headquarters at Patgaon area on the outskirts of Guwahati.
