Assam Rifles Organized A Free Medical Camp At Laboc in Pailapool

Silchar: COB Pailapool of 37 Assam Rifles organized a free medical camp at Laboc in Pailapool in collaboration with Rotary Club Green Land, Silchar, on Sunday. Regimental Medical Officer of 37 Assam Rifles with a psychiatrist from Rotary Club interacted and provided their free service the poor patients of the remote area. Around 700 patients who consist of 200 males, 400 females and 100 children patients availed the facility of free medical checkup. Medicines were also provided by Assam Rifles who are also called as the friends of northeast.

In addition to this, a general awareness on Save the Girl Child and Anti Drugs Movement was organized with the help of Rotary Club of Green Land, Silchar. Madhumita Paul, president of the Club, and Dr Rajiv Dey, psychiatrist, organized lecture on the above issues. Labac Tea Estate manager Sanjeev Singh Pundir rendered moral support to the teams involved in the noble event and thanked the Assam Rifles for organizing such an event in and around their tea garden. His daughter who is currently pursuing Ph.D in Cell and Molecular Biology from Uppsala University in Sweden also assisted the teams.
