Biennial session of Senior Citizens’ Forum held in Biswanath Chariali

Biswanath Chariali: The biennial session of Biswanath Chariali Senior Citizens’ Association was held recently at Binapani Natya Mandir, here with Dr Nityananda Gogoi in the chair while it was conducted by general secretary Bijay Goswami.

The secretarial report was presented in the meet which highlighted the activities carried out by the association for the benefit of the senior people of the society during the last two years.

An eleven member new executive body was formed in the meet with Dr Nityananda Gogoi as president, Bharat Tamuli and Rudra Borah as vice-presidents, Bijay Goswami as general secretary and Girish Saikia and Sashimohan Hazarika as assistant secretaries. Veteran playwright Tarun Saikia and newly selected civil servants Partha Pratim Baruah and Divas Bordoloi were felicitated in the programme.
