BSF Nabs Bangla Intruder in Shillong

SHILLONG: Showing alertness to prevent any infiltration on the International Border, the BSF deployed at BOP Laijuri, East Jaintia Hills (Meghalaya) apprehended one Bangladeshi national while he was trying to sneak into Indian territory.

The apprehended person – Saidul Islam – was handed over to Bangladesh Border Guards after preliminary investigation. On the other hand, the BSF on Sunday seized 14 cattle worth Rs 2.3 lakh at Ganganagar in West Khasi Hills, Damdama in South Garo Hills and Umsiyam in East Khasi Hills districts of Meghalaya. These cattle were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
