CoHSO Reiterates Demand For Inner Line Permit (ILP)

SHILLONG: The Confederation of Hynniewtrep Social Organisation (CoHSO) has reminded the State government on its demand to implement Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the State. In a letter to Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma submitted on Tuesday, the CoHSO said the recent rally organized by them in the city last week has urged the government to implement ILP and also National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the State. “In this regard, CoHSO strongly demand from the government to immediately take necessary steps to implement the Inner Line Permit system and NRC in the whole State for the protection and safeguard of the rights and privileges of the indigenous people of the state,” the CoHSO said in its letter to Conrad.
