Coordination meeting held in Tura

Shillong, May 16: A coordination meeting of the Government Departments of West Garo Hills District was held today in the DRRA Conference Hall, Tura. addressing the officers, chairman of the district coordination meeting and West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh said that holding of coordination meeting from time to time was important because this was a forum where inter-departmental issues, involving two or more departments, are resolved through discussions and plan schemes through adjustments and understandings. Exhorting the officers to work devotedly and with a missionary zeal, he said that as the district head, he was responsible and answerable to the public for whatever negativity that happened in the district. However, he added that he was always there to guide and motivate the officers in their works and not necessarily to find faults and pull up for every petty issues.

The DC laid a special stress on PMGSY, rural electrification, rural water supply systems and health & sanitations as according to him these are some of the basic services which are most crucial to the lives of the rural people. This has been stated in a press release.
