Shillong: East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police (SP), Davis Nestell R Marak on Friday said that cops have not been able to quiz the MCS officer accused of funding the petrol bomb attack at the office of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC).
“We know that he is the main person behind the attack. Even though we have some clues, what could be the motive. Unless we cross examine him, we cannot say what was the actual matter,” Marak told media persons.
The East Khasi Hills police chief said that police have to cross examine him to know the reason. It may be mentioned that recently, police arrested the MCS officer Granville Harley Passah for allegedly being involved in paying money for the petrol bomb attack. While the court had sent the accused MCS officer to seven days police custody, he complained of illness and was admitted to the hospital.
