Deepika Padukone's Wedding Saree Was Not Designed by Sabyasachi - Read details

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's wedding was one of the most talked about events of this year. The duo tied the knot in a fairytale wedding on the 14-15 November. They recently additionally shared photos from the fun-filled wedding festivities and that they have taken over the internet. Fans love how prefect the couple is for each other.

Deepika and Ranveer married as per two traditions, Konkani and Sindhi. Deepika Padukone looked absolutely amazing in her wedding attire. It had been revealed that it had been the ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee who had dressed the couple for their wedding functions.

Sabyasachi took to Instagram to reveal an important fact about Deepika Padukone’s Konkani wedding saree. In an Instagram post, the designer revealed that the wedding saree was gifted to Deepika by her mother ( as per tradition) and was given to the designer by Deepika's mother. He also revealed that the saree was bought from Angadi Galleria in Bengaluru and gave them due credit.

Something similar had happened throughout Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's wedding. The couple was also mostly dressed in Sabyasachi outfits. For his Mumbai reception, Virat had donned a classic navy blue Bandhgala and Sabyasachi had taken to his Instagram and taken credit for the outfit. However, it had been later revealed that the outfit worn by Virat was designed by the international designer Raghavendra Rathore.

Sabyasachi later posted on his Instagram and clarified the mistake and the post was removed. The designer clarified that they had designed an analogous outfit earlier that led to confusion.

Deepika and Ranveer wore Sabyasachi designer outfits for almost all of their wedding functions. The couple will be hosting a wedding reception today in Bengaluru for their family.
