Demand growing for portable oxygen cans

Hyderabad: With growing air pollution and increase in number of people with pulmonary problems, the demand for portable oxygen cans is increasing in India, says a company which manufactures cans and light weight oxygen cylinders.

Delhi Cryogenic Products Pvt Ltd, which is manufacturing the products under the brand name OXY99, on Monday announced its foray into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The portable oxygen can, weighing just 120 grams and can be used for 150 inhalations with shelf life of two years, will be available at medical stores across Telangana by the end of next month.

The company plans to roll out distribution in Andhra Pradesh next year. Priced at Rs 650, it can be used by people suffering from asthma or other respiratory disorders, breathlessness, tiredness, headaches, mental and physical stress, wheezing and coughing, said Kalisetti Naidu, CMD, Bluewater Alkaline Solutions.
