Shillong, July 17: Meghalaya Minister of Urban Affairs, Hamletson Dohling refused to believe that the past government’s notion that the Polo junction could be in line with Times Square. The then Chief Minister Mukul Sangma had said that they would convert the Polo junction into a Time Square.
Talking to The Sentinel the Minister said, “The Time Square connotation is of Mukul Sangma while our government is about beatification of the area without any narratives”.

“Our endevour is to restructure the place that is in line with the modern outlooks and management,” stated Dohling even as he added that he along with the officials of the urban affairs department will go and assess the progress of the work in the days to come. He refused to give a tentative line for the completion 80,000 square meters of land being developed by the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC).
