Drama over Danggo joining NPP continues

Shillong, June 24: Days after former Congress legislator from Ranikor, Martin M Danggo resigned from the Meghalaya Assembly as well as from the primary membership of the Congress, there is no indication yet when he will join the National People’s Party (NPP).

It may be mentioned that Danggo has assured the government that he will join the NPP only after the inauguration of the Ranikor civil sub-division.

According to sources, the civil sub-division at Ranikor will be inaugurated on July 10. However, the Cabinet which was to decide on the date of the inauguration of the civil sub-division could not sit on June 21 as Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma was unwell.
