Kerala Absconding Cop Found Dead who was Booked in a Murder Charge

Guwahati: Neyyattinkara Deputy Superintendent Police B. Harikumar, who was booked on a charge of murdering a person, was on a run for a few days, but is discovered dead at his own home on Tuesday. Notably, the Kerala police officer was found dead at his home in Kallambalam near Thiruvananthapuram.

The deceased cop was accused of pushing a 32-year-old man named S Sanal in front of a running car which made him meet several critical injuries and the latter succumbed to his injuries later. As reported by police, Sanal and Harikumar had involved in a verbal argument regarding a parking issue in Thiruvananthapuram. Although Harikumar said that Sanal had fallen in front of the car accidentally, but witnesses say that the cop intentionally threw anal into the road on seeing a car approaching from the other side.

Following this incident, Harikuamr was booked on a murder charge, but the cop had been on a run. Reports stated that he had crossed the border into Tamil Nadu. But this week, a police team led by IG S Sreejith had searched the border areas but found his body at his home. Harikumar was found hanging on the day a district principal sessions court was set to hear an anticipatory bail petition he had filed a few days ago.
