Land pattas distributed by Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council

Donkamukam: The Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), in-charge of Land & Revenue etc, Mongolsing Timung on Friday distributed land pattas to the households under Hamren Town. “Most of the tribal people in the district neglect to pay revenue. We’ve the habit of taking lightly land revenue payment, leading to staggering burdens in the last moment,” Timung said.

He further said that the revenues are meant for developmental works. He also held an interactive meeting regarding the problems being faced by the people of the town. Joysing Engti, chairman of Hamren Wholesale Consumer Marketing Limited, ward commissioners of Hamren - Dilip Hanse and Basa Teron and over hundreds of their supporters were also present at the meeting. Ramson Tisso and his 12 followers from Opposition parties today merged with the BJP. Earlier EM Timung inaugurated the Jengkha Rongmandu PMGSY road of Package No:AS-12-246 of 2017-18, near Jengkha.
